Muhammad Sabieh Anwar is a professor of physics, Ahmad Dawood Chair, and Dean at the LUMS Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering.
Muhammad Sabieh Anwar helped establish the physics department at LUMS and was among the principal founders of the school’s experimental facilities and curriculum. Ideas from his physics instructional laboratories have been replicated in ten Pakistani universities.
Muhammad Sabieh Anwar has played an important role in introducing innovative learning tools, mostly revolving around insightful homegrown physics experiments, in Pakistan’s universities. His lectures are interspersed with in-class live demonstrations and are widely viewed over the internet. He is also a recipient of the TWAS medal in physics in 2008 and the National innovation Prize in 2015.
Afia Salam is a journalist having vast experience in print, electronic and web journalism. She has recently been more engaged in the field of development sector communications, focusing on environment, climate change, labour, and gender issues. She has been highlighting these concerns through her writings, seminars and various panel discussions and round tables. She is a member of the national coordinating body for Marine Protected Areas. She's also a development practitioner and president of Baanh Beli organisation and Chair Board of Trustees-Indus Earth Trust, Trustee of the helpline Trust and has recently been appointed to the National Climate Change Council. During 2010-11 flood she remained on the frontline. She is again covering various aspects of recent floods in Sindh.

Shahnawaz Dahani is a trendsetter for many local cricketers of Sindh. Before making his national debut, he used to train at his village barefooted. But with dedication and continuous hard work he became the first cricketer from a rural area of Sindh to make it to the national cricket team of Pakistan.
Dahani has played two editions of the Pakistan Super League, in which he appeared among the leading wicket-takers. He has now become a regular member of the Pakistan cricket team.

She is also an International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) and The Centre for Excellence in Journalism (ICFJ) fellow. She consults with Media Matters for Democracy, a policy research and advocacy organisation working on freedom of expression, the media and the internet in Pakistan. She has also participated twice in the Jinnah Institute’s India-Pakistan Track II Chaophraya Dialogue as an Emerging Leader. Ms. Shamsi has hosted news and current affairs shows on mainstream news channels and writes opinion pieces for national and international media platforms. Previously she was a bilingual reporter for the BBC World Service, television anchor, desk editor, and producer. Her reporting largely focused on human rights. She has also written research reports and training manuals on women in the media, gender and conflict reporting, as well as conducted numerous media trainings.
